Edinson Rincon...signed by Padres scouts Randy Smith and Felix Francisco out of the Dominican Republic. 2012 Spent the entire season with Double-A San Antonio, hitting .291 (144-for-494) over a career-high 134 games, also setting a career high in hits. Collected 40 extra-base hits total on the season with 30 doubles and 10 home runs. Saw his first action in the outfield, playing 27 games in left field for the Missions. 2011 Spent most of his time at Single-A Lake Elsinore, missing nearly half the season with a broken hamate bone after being hit by a pitch...Went down due to the injury 6/25, returning for three games with the AZL Padres before rejoining the Storm for four games 9/1-5...Rated as having the best infield arm in the Padres organization by Baseball America prior to the season. 2010 Played in a career-high 132 games for Single-A Fort Wayne after entering the season as the Padres No. 9 prospect according to Baseball America...Established career highs in nearly every category, having never played more than 70 games in a season prior to 2010. 2008 Named to the Short-A All-Star team, ranking among Northwest League leaders in walks (3rd), RBI (4th) and OBP (5th).
