Resides in San Pedro de Macoris, DR during the offseason...Recommended/signed by Julian German/Ramon Perez for the Tigers. 2012 Missed most of the season after having surgery on his right ankle in February...Did appear in two games for the GCL Pirates, five games with Bradenton (Tigers' A) and seven games with Altoona (Tigers' AA). 2011 Hit .276 (105-for-381) with 13 doubles, seven triples, five homers, 26 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 96 minor league games between Lakeland (Tigers' A) and Erie (Tigers' AA)...Began season with Lakeland, where he made 61 starts at shortstop and one at second base (6/9 at Daytona Beach)...Homered in his first game on 4/7 vs. Tampa and produced a .333 (27-for-81) average in 20 games during the month of April...Had five hits on 5/4 vs. Clearwater to raise season average to .363...
