Split the 2013 campaign between Class A Advanced San Jose and double-A Richmond…combined to hit .231 (111- for-480) with 22 home runs and 70 RBI in 125 games. Began the season with San Jose and went just 2-for-41 over his first 10 games…however, over his next two contests (April 14 and 15), he went 4-for-7 with three home runs and seven RBI. On May 28, hit a pair of solo home runs to lead the Giants to a 2-1 victory over the Bakersfield Blaze…Villalona's 10th and 11th homers of the year accounted for San Jose's only offense as the Giants evened the series at a game apiece. Was one of seven San Jose Giants to be named to the California League All-Star team. Hit .229 with 14 home runs and 42 RBI in 73 games with SJ. Was promoted to double-A Richmond on July 1 and in 52 games he batted .235 with eight HRs and 28 RBI. Hit a grand slam on July 16 at Binghamton to help Richmond snap a seven game losing streak. Was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 6 with a hamstring issue and then activated Aug. 13. Hit .200 (13 for-65) with three doubles and seven RBI in 19 games for Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League
