2015

Split the season between Oakland and Nashville (Triple-A) of the Pacific Coast League, making six separate stints with the A's. Made his Major League debut April 22, 2015, allowing one earned run over 1 inning of relief after being recalled by OAK earlier that day. His 2.95 ERA, ranked first among the Sounders pitching staff (minimum 50.0 IP), while ranking eighth in strikeouts despite appearing in only 20 games. Posted a .236 opponents' average with Nashville, his lowest mark since 2008 while pitching in the Mexican League.

Spent the entire season at Triple-A Sacramento with the exception of a one day stay with Oakland…was recalled as the 26th man for the May 7 doubleheader against Seattle…did not pitch and was sent back to Sacramento following the game…went 10-7 with a 4.97 ERA in 27 starts with the River Cats…tied for fifth in the Pacific Coast League in wins and ranked seventh in strikeouts (128)…also tied forthird in games started…ranked third in the A's farm system in strikeouts, tied for third in wins and ffth in innings pitched (145.0)…led Sacramento in wins, starts, innings and strikeouts…had career highs inwins, starts, innings pitched, strikeouts, hits (170), runs (84), earned runs (80), walks (51), wild pitches (14) and balks (2)…allowed a .295 opponents batting average, including .290 (78-for-269) against left-handed hitters compared to .300 (92-for-307) against right-handers…surrendered nine of his 12 home runs to righties but issued 32 of his 51 walks to lefties…opponents hit .307 with runners in scoring position…was 7-2 with a 4.07 ERA in 14 starts at home compared to 3-5 with a 6.06 ERA in 13 starts on the road…opponents were successful in just 1-of-4 (25.0%) stolen base attempts with him on the mound…the River Cats were 16-11 (.593) in his starting assignments…pitched for Culiacan in theMexican Pacific Winter League following the season and went 4-2 with a 2.05 ERA and .179 opponents batting average in 10 starts.

Combined for a 9-8 record and a 4.13 ERA in 25 games, including 24 starts, with Double-A Midland and Triple-A Sacramento…had just 12 starts over his first five seasons in the A's farm system…issued just 24 walks, an average of 1.50 per nine innings…had career highs in nearly every category, including wins, starts, innings pitched (144.0) and strikeouts (97)…tied for ninth in the A's farm system in wins and ranked 10th in innings pitched…allowed a .292 opponents batting average, including .247 (80-for-324) against right-handed hitters compared to .348 (88-for-253) against left-handers…opponents hit .221 with runners in scoring position while pitching for Midland, but that split jumped to .390 with Sacramento…combined to allow a .369 average with RISP and two outs…his teams were 13-11 (.542) in his starting assignments…walked two batters or fewer in 23 of his 24 starts, including nine starts with no walks and eight with just one…tossed six or more innings 12 times and allowed two runs or fewer 11 times.

MIDLAND: Began the season with the RockHounds and went 4-5 with a 3.84 ERA and .295 opponents batting average in 13 starts…held right-handed hitters to a .253 average but lefties batted .359…was 1-3 with a 4.83 ERA in seven starts at home compared to 3-2 with a 2.56 ERA in six starts on the road … combined with three other pitchers on a five-hit, 4-0 shutout at Arkansas in his first start of the season April 8…tossed five innings and allowed just one hit while walking none…then allowed a season-high nine runs on 10 hits in 3.2 innings in his next start against the Travelers April 15…was 1-1 with a 7.27 ERA in two starts when he was placed on the disabled list April 16 with a blister on his right middle finger … was reinstated from the DL May 2 and went 3-4 with a 3.38 ERA over his final 11 starts with Midland…tossed a season-low 2.1 innings in his first start after returning from the DL May 2 at Corpus Christi … walked a season-high three batters in a loss to Corpus Christi May 19…struck out a seasonhigh nine batters in 4.2 shutout innings May 25 at Springfield … did not walk a batter in four consecutive starts from May 30 to June 15 (26.2 ip)…however, opponents went 34-for-112 (.304) over that span … surrendered a season-high 12 hits in 6.2 innings June 10 against Frisco…had season highs in innings pitched (8.0) and pitches (109) June 15 against San Antonio…was promoted to Sacramento July 2.

SACRAMENTO: Went 5-3 with a 4.42 ERA and .287 opponents batting average in 12 games, 11 starts, with the River Cats…allowed just four home runs in 71.1 innings, an average of 0.50 per nine innings…yielded a .249 average with the bases empty, .345 with runners on…was 3-1 with a 2.82 ERA in six games at home compared to 2-2 with a 6.27 ERA in six starts on the road…struck out a season-high tying nine batters in his first Triple-A start July 3 against Tucson … allowed just one run in 7.0 innings but was the losing pitcher in a 2-0 loss…allowed at least four runs in each of his next four starts for a 7.14 ERA … finished the season by going 4-1 with a 3.46 ERA over his final seven games…won consecutive starts Aug. 1 against Albuquerque and Aug. 6 against Round Rock, one of two winning streaks in 2013…allowed just one earned in 13.2 innings during the streak…made his only relief appearance of the season Aug. 17 against Tucson (5.0 ip, 6 h, 3 r, 3 er, 1 bb, 6 so) … picked up the win in relief of a rehabbing Brett Anderson…finished August with a 3-1 record and a 2.95 ERA in six games, including five starts…won his final start of the season Sept. 2 at Tacoma and went 2-0 despite a 5.57 ERA over his final four games.

2012 Pitched at three different levels in the A's farm system, combining for a 4-1 record, one save and a 2.70 ERA in 44 relief appearances with Single-A Stockton, Double-A Midland and Triple-A Sacramento... had career-highs in wins, appearances and strikeouts (74)...allowed a .271 opponents batting average, including .259 (36-for-139) by right-handed hitters compared to .284 (33-for-116) against left-handers... surrendered five home runs, all solo shots...opponents hit .295 with the bases empty, .246 with runners on...allowed 8 of 18 (44.4%) inherited runners to score...converted 1 of 2 (50.0%) save opportunities... tossed at least one inning in 40 of his 44 outings, including a season-high 2.0 innings 19 times...pitched for Culiacan in the Mexican Pacific Winter League following the season...was 1-0 with a 0.79 ERA and .179 opponents batting average in 12 relief appearances. 2011 Began the season on the disabled list as he continued his recovery from May, 2010 "Tommy John" surgery...made five rehab starts for the A's affiliate in the Arizona Rookie League...was 0-1 with an 8.53 ERA and .273 opponents batting average...allowed three runs on three hits in 0.1 innings in his first start against the Diamondbacks June 27...made one more appearance July 2 before his rehab was halted July 5...resumed Aug. 17 and allowed just one run in 4.0 innings over his final three starts (2.25 ERA). 2010 Made just three relief appearances with Double-A Midland before going on the disabled list April 22 with a right elbow strain...underwent "Tommy John" surgery in late May and missed the remainder of the season...posted a 6.23 ERA and .333 opponents batting average in his three relief appearances...his final outing was April 16 at Arkansas (1.0 ip, 2 h, 2 r, 2 er, 1 so). 2009 Spent the entire season at Double-A Midland in his first full season in the A's organization... was 2-3 with a save and a 3.51 ERA in 33 games, including seven starts...tossed a career-high 74.1 innings...allowed a .247 opponents batting average, including .243 against right-handed hitters compared to .252 against left-handers...surrendered all three of his home runs to right-handers...opponents batted .205 with runners in scoring position, including .105 with RISP and two outs...began the season in the bullpen, but each of his final seven outings were starts...posted a 1-2 record, a 1.76 ERA and .183 opponents batting average in his starting assignments...allowed just 3 of 16 (18.8%) inherited runners to score in his 26 relief appearances...logged
