Zach Britton was not available to pitch in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Rays, but the Orioles' closer said on Friday there isn't anything serious physically and expected to be in the game Friday if the situation called for it.

Attended Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, FL where he played baseball and ran cross country...He and his wife, Elizabeth Prann, were married on November 20, 2010...Elizabeth is a southeast correspondent for FOX News...Originally signed by Angels scout Tom Kotchman...Served as closer for the University of Florida's 2005 College World Series team...Was Academic All-District III performer from 2004-06...Had originally been cut from the Florida squad earlier in college, but began tinkering with a sidearm delivery which proved effective...Graduated with a degree in animal biology...Passed entrance exam to enter medical school, but elected to pursue career in baseball.
