Was a draft-and-follow and signed after his freshman year at Young Harris (Ga.) Junior College...played "Circle of Life" from Disney's The Lion King as his at-bat intro music while with the Stone Crabs in 2011. 2012 Spent the season with Double-A Montgomery...named Rays Minor League Hitter of the Month for August, batting .397 (27-for-68) with 8 2B, 4 HR, 14 RBI and 13 runs scored in 20 games...threw out 44 of 96 attempted base stealers (45.8 pct.)...ranked by Baseball America following the season as the Best Defensive Catcher in the Rays farm system for the second consecutive year. 2011 Spent the entire season at Class-A Charlotte ... threw out 42 of 87 attempted base stealers (48.3 percent)...led the Stone Crabs with 13 HR, nine more than the next-closest teammate...ranked by Baseball America as the Best Defensive Catcher in the Rays farm system entering 2012. 2010 Spent the majority of the season with Class-A Bowling Green, playing the final game of the season with Charlotte...hit .288 (44-for-153) with 5 of his 6 HR before the All-Star break. 2009 Spent the majority of the season with Short-A Hudson Valley but had a 6-day stint (2 games played) with Charlotte as a fill-in catcher... at Hudson Valley, threw out 16 of 39 attempted base stealers (41 percent). 2008 Threw out 20 of 48 attempted base stealers (41.6 percent) for Hudson Valley. 2007 Began his professional career with Rookielevel Princeton, batting .276 (29-for-105) with 5 HR and 24 RBI in only 33 games.
