Tyler Patrick Robertson...played baseball, football (quarterback) and is a 2006 graduate of Bella Vista (CA) High...earned All-League and All-Metro honors as a prep senior...was committed to pitch for Cal State-Fullerton before signing with the Twins...father, Jay, was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1977 Draft by the Blue Jays and went 25-24 with 35 saves and a 3.29 ERA in 5 pro seasons (reached Triple-A)...Jay is currently a pro scout for the Nationals.


Member of Twins' Opening Day roster...earned a hold in MIN's 8-2 win on April 4 vs. DET...pitched in 2 of Twins first 4 contests of '13, but eventually combined on 2 saves, 8.4 strikeouts per 9.0 innings and a 3.04 ERA in 47 appearances with Syracuse (26 games) and Rochester (21) of the Triple-A International League...began season in Twins organization, with Rochester, before being claimed off waivers by the Nationals on June 7...was assigned to Syracuse (which is only 90 miles east of Rochester) and walked only 8 en route to a 3.0/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 26.2 innings with the Chiefs.
