Tyler James Ladendorf was originally signed by Minnesota scout Marty Esposito…graduated from Maine West HS (IL)…attended Howard CC (TX).

2015

Spent most of the season on the disabled list and combined to play in just 33 games between the A's and the minors…batted .235 with a triple and two RBI in nine games over two stints with Oakland in his Major League debut.…also hit .260 with a home run and eight RBI in 24 minor league games… saw action at five different positions with the A's and six different positions in the minors, appearing everywhere but pitcher, catcher and first base…appeared in three games in left field, two each at second base and center field and one each at third base and shortstop with the A's…in the minors, he played 12 games at shortstop, four in left field, three at third base, two at second base and one each in center field and right field…did not commit an error with the A's and made just one in the minors (at shortstop with Nashville)…was on the A's Opening Day roster and made his ML debut April 8 against Texas…tripled in his first at bat off Ross Detwiler in the third inning to become the second player in Oakland history with a triple in his first ML game (Steve Kiefer on Sept. 3, 1984 vs. Chicago)…had two RBI and is one of five players in Oakland history with two or more RBI in his debut…also scored two runs and joins Ben Grieve (2 runs, 5 RBI on Sept. 3, 1997 vs. San Francisco) as the only players in Oakland history with at least two runs and two RBI in their debut… played second base and left field to become the first Major Leaguer since at least 1914 to play second and left in his debut…was 2-for-10 (.200) with two RBI in four games when he was optioned to Nashville April 12…hit .364 over his first six games with the Sounds before going on the disabled list April 21 with a sprained left ankle…the injury required surgery and he was added to the Oakland DL May 22…began a rehab assignment with the A's affiliate in the Arizona Rookie League Aug. 8…went 3-for-4 (.750) with a walk in two games and was moved to Single-A Stockton Aug. 12…went 0-for-9 in two games with the Ports and 4-for-16 (.250) in four games with Nashville before he was reinstated from the DL and optioned to Nashville Aug. 21…hit .265 with a home run and eight RBI in 20 games overall with the Sounds…batted .206 at home, .306 on the road… had a .375 average with runners in scoring position…returned to Oakland when rosters expanded Sept. 1 and went 2-for-7 (.286) over his final five games…did not play after Sept. 17 due to a left wrist injury

Batted .297 with two home runs and 43 RBI in 78 games with Sacramento in his first full season at the Triple-A level…the batting average was a career high as was his .376 on-base percentage…his batting average included a .395 (32-for-81) mark against left-handed pitchers compared to .255 (49-for-192) against right-handers…had 10 of his 23 extra base hits against lefties and slugged .568 against lefties compared to .339 against righties…hit .231 with the bases empty, .373 with runners on…had a .342average with runners in scoring position…was 6-for-12 (.500) with two doubles, two walks and 15 RBI with the bases loaded…batted .347 at home, .258 on the road…appeared in 38 games at second base, 38 at shortstop and two in center field…committed just two errors as a second baseman for a .990 fielding percentage…made seven errors at shortstop (.964)…hit in every spot in the order except the four through six spots…saw his most action with 43 games in the nine spot, where he batted .340…hit .246 in all other spots in the order.
