Selected by Colorado in the 14th round of the 2006 June draft. 2009 Spent the entire season at Tulsa as the club's regular first baseman...hit .265 (123-for-464) with 34 extra-base hits and 64 RBI in 128 games...his 64 RBI were tied for the 2nd most on the club with Cole Garner...his 123 hits were the 3rd most on the club...drew a team best 68 walks, and owned a .363 on-base percentage...combined to hit .310 (45-for-145) in the seasons first two months, but didn't hit over .260 for any of the final four months of the seaosn...saw the majority of his at bats as the club's No.3 hitter, though he hit just .239 (66-for-276) in that spot...batted .341 (42-for-123) in 33 games as the club's cleac-up hitter... hit .239 (33-for-138) against lefties and .276 (90-for-326) against righties. 2008 Spent the entire season with Tulsa and led the team with 146 hits...hit total was tied for the 5th most in the league...finished 3rd on the club with 73 RBI as the club's everyday first baseman...the lefthanded hitter batted .310 (26-for-84) off lefties and .284 (120-for-422) off righties...hit 286 (76-for-266) with 29 RBI in the first half and .292 (70-for-240) with 44 RBI in the 2nd half. 2007 Played the entire season for Modesto and was second on the team with his .317 average, 83 RBI and .505 slugging percentage...had an organizational-best 26-game hitting streak from July 2-July 31, covering every game he played in during the month of July...during the streak he hit .417 (45-for-108) with 12 doubles, 5 home runs and 25 RBI, raising his average from .262 to .308...followed that hitting streak up with streaks of 13 games and 8 games...went hitless in just 5 of his final 56 games, hitting .380 (84-for- 221) to end the season...led all Cal League first baseman with 18 errors. 2006 Was batting .300 as far into the season as August 31, but went just 5-for-24 (.208) over his last 6 games to drop to .287.
