Full name is Everett James Teaford...participated in the 2011 and 2013 Royals FanFest and 2012 and 2013 Royals Caravan...Graduated from Centennial High in Alpharetta, Ga...Attended Georgia Southern where he went 10-4 with a 3.96 ERA as a junior in 2006, leading the Southern Conference in innings (120.1), strikeouts (122) and complete games (4) while tying for second in wins...named 1st-team Southern Conference in 2005 and 2006...finished his career ranking second among Georgia Southern career strikeout leaders with 353.

Everett made just one appearance for the Royals, pitching 0.2 innings at Cleveland, July 14...Pitched in the starting rotation and out of the bullpen at Omaha (AAA)...posted a 4-2 mark and a 2.83 ERA through August 1...lost his final four decisions, posting a 6.16 ERA over his last five starts.

2012 Everett had three separate stints with the Royals, making 18 appearances, including five starts...made the Royals Opening Day roster for the first time in his career...Suffered a lower abdominal strain and was on the 15-day D.L. from May 19-June 12 and then was optioned to Omaha after being reinstated...His only win of the year came in a start on July 2 in Toronto when he lasted a career-high 7.0 innings in an 11-3 victory. 2011 Everett got his first taste of the big leagues and posted a 2-1 record with a 3.27 ERAin 26 games, including 3 starts. ... Recalled from Omaha on May 17 and made his Major League debut that night vs. Cleveland. ... Earned his first Major League save on July 9 vs. Detroit, tossing the final 3.0 innings of a 13-6 win. ... Picked up his first big league win, 2-1, in his first career start on September 11 at Seattle. 2010 Had a breakout season and established himself as one of the top pitching prospects in the KC system...Named by the Royals as the NW Arkansas Pitcher of the Year after leading the Texas League and the entire Royals minor league system in wins while ranking sixth in the Texas League in strikeouts...While at NW Arkansas, was a perfect 8-0 with a 1.98 ERA in 12 games (7 starts) following the All-Star break... was also 7-0 with a 0.76 ERA (47.2 IP, 4 ER) in 12 road outings, including 6 starts...Made a pair of starts in the playoffs as the Naturals captured the Texas League title...was 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA, allowing just 10 hits and 2 runs in 13.1 innings, walking 1 and striking out 9...Was one of a record six Royals farmhands to represent Team USA at the Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament...started the opener and ended up with a 1-0 record and a 2.00 ERA (9.0 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 13 SO) as Team USA finished tied for third and qualified for the 2011 Pan Am Games as well as the 2011 World Cup.
