Saw his first Major League action, batting .236 (25-for-106) with 9R, 4 doubles, 1HR and 9RBI in 34 games (24 starts in LF and three in RF) with the Yankees... Was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 6/18... Made his Major League debut in 6/19 Game 2 loss vs. the Dodgers, pinch-hitting for Austin Romine in the ninth and grounding out... Recorded his first Major League hit with a pinch-hit single off of Kyle Farnsworth in the ninth inning of 6/20 loss vs. Tampa Bay... Hit solo HR-the first of his Major League career-and was 3-for-4 in 6/21 win vs. Tampa Bay, making his first career start in LF… also recorded his first career RBI and multi-hit game… according to YES Research, became just the second Yankee since 1916 to record at least 3H and 1HR in a single game within his first three Major League games, joining Oscar Azocar (7/18/90 vs. Kansas City in his second game)… became the first Yankee with at least 3H in one of his first three Major League games since D'Angelo Jimenez (4H on 9/19/99 at Cleveland in his third game)...
