Set career-highs in several categories, including games played (59), at-bats (204), hits (47), doubles (10), home runs (three), RBI (15), walks (12) and stolen bases (four) between Seattle and San Diego after being acquired by the Padres at the trade deadline...Acquired by the Padres on 7/31 from SEA along with RHP Stephen Kohlscheen in exchange for OF Chris Denorfia...Reported to San Diego on 8/1…started 24 games total for the Padres, including 14 in CF and 10 in LF...Made his first career Opening Day roster with SEA , starting on Opening Day batting leadoff in center field...Hit .288/.312/.411 (21-for-73) with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and three walks in 22 games in August, his first month in a Padres uniform…ranked among the National League rookie leaders for the month of August in batting average (fourth), on-base percentage (eighth), slugging percentage (ninth) and doubles (tied for third)...Belted his first home run for the Padres on 8/13 vs. COL, a solo shot to left field against Tyler Matzek…hit his second homer as a Padre on 8/26 vs. MIL off Jimmy Nelson, a solo shot down the right field line...Left his start on 9/6 at COL with a left high ankle sprain and returned to action on 9/14 before aggravating the ankle again on 9/20, sitting out the remainder of the season.
