Ehire Enrique Adrianza Palma (pronounced AY-ray AY-dree-ahn-zuh)...married his childhood sweetheart, Vielimar, in 2011...they have one son, Ehimar (born in 2012).

2016

Placed on the 15-day disabled list April 15 with a fractured left foot...suffered the injury after fouling a ball off his back foot in the eighth inning on April 14 at Colorado...a second set of diagnostic tests revealed the fracture. Transferred to the 60-day disabled list April 22, allowing the team to add Conor Gillaspie to the 40-man roster. Reinstated from the 60-day disabled list August 2 after missing 95 games. Went 5-for-18 (.278) with a double, four RBI and one walk as a pinch-hitter. Made 10 starts for San Francisco (6 at shortstop, 3 at second base and 1 at third base). Designated for assignment and claimed off waivers by Milwaukee January 31; designated by Milwaukee February 2 and claimed by Minnesota February 6.

2015

Split the season between triple-A Sacramento and San Francisco...batted .316 with 10 extra base hits and 15 RBI in 44 games with the River Cats...hit .186 in 52 games (31 starts) with the Giants....Was designated for assignment by the Giants April 5...cleared waivers and was outrighted to triple-A April 11....Spent first three months at triple-A before having his contract purchased June 30, taking the roster spot of IF Casey McGehee....Stuck with SF the rest of the season from June 30-Oct. 4, starting 31 games (13 at second, 16 at short, one at first, one at third)....Played first base for the first time in his career on Sept. 22 at San Diego...took a grounder off his face in the 9th inning and stayed in the game, but was dizzy afterward...was diagnosed with a concussion the next day and missed the final 12 games of the season.

2014

Batted .237 (23-for-97) with six doubles and five RBI in 53 games during his second season in the big leagues...Missed most of the last three-plus months of the season with a right hamstring strain, which placed him on the 15-day disabled list on two different occasions, first from June 23-July 10 and then again from July 25-through the end of the season...missed a total of 75 games while on the DL...Adrianza, who was out of options, won a utility role during spring training after batting .245 (12-for-49) in 23 games... made his first career Opening Day roster...On July 22 at Philadelphia he had seven at-bats in a game in which he even didn't start, which matched an all-time Giants franchise record with Art Fletcher, who didn't start but had seven at-bats on July 26, 1909 (Elias)…Adrianza entered the game at second base in the bottom of the 2nd inning in place of Joe Panik, who suffered a sprained right ankle in the 1st inning…the game lasted 14 innings...Injured his right hamstring again on July 24 at Philadelphia while running to second base...was placed on the DL on July 25...Was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sept. 1, ending his season...was removed from the 60-day DL on Nov. 2.

2013

Appeared in nine games (four starts) for the Giants and hit .222 (4-for-18). Made his Major League debut on Sept. 8 vs. Arizona by pinch running at first base in the 11th inning and then scoring the game-winning run...according to Elias, he became the first Giants player to make his debut and score the game-winning run in extras since John Davis on Sept. 9, 1941. Recorded his first big league hit on Sept. 14 off Los Angeles'-NL RHP Brandon League, hitting an RBI double to right field. Hit his first career home run on Sept. 22 off New York's-AL LHP Andy Pettitte. Hit .240 in 73 games with double-A Richmond and .310 in 45 games with triple-A Fresno.

2012 Spent his seventh professional campaign with double-A Richmond, hitting .220 (99-for-451) with three HRs and 32 RBI in 127 games. Was placed on the Disabled List (left thumb) on June 16 and missed 11 games before being activated on June 28. Had a season-high 12-game hitting streak from Aug. 3-16, during which he batted .313 (15-for-48) with five 2Bs, one 3B and five runs scored. Drove in the game-winning run with a walk-off RBI single vs. Harrisburg on Aug. 30. 2011 Split his 6th professional campaign between low-A Augusta and Class A Advanced San Jose, combining to hit .273 (102-for-373) with 6 HRs and 44 RBI in 94 games. ... Began season with low-A Augusta, hitting .231 (33-for- 143) with 3 HRs and 17 RBI in 38 games. ... Did not make his season debut until May 14 due to hand injury. ... Was transferred to San Jose on June 30 and in 56 games with Giants he hit .300 (69-for-230) with 24 2Bs, 3 HRs and 27 RBI. 2010 Spent season at Class A Advanced San Jose hitting .256 (114-for-445) with 22 2Bs, 5 3Bs, 3 HRs and 35 RBI in 114 games...Ranked 3rd on team with 124 games, 4th in runs (70) and 3Bs (5)...June was his best month as he batted .283 (26-for-92), with 4 2Bs, 2 3Bs, HR and 12 RBI...Earned San Jose's Defensive Player of Year honor. 2009 Spent entire campaign with Class A Augusta, batting .258 (100-for-388) with 54 runs, 15 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 2 HRs and 46 RBI in 117 contests...His best stretch of season came June 30-July 14, where he hit safely in season-best 13-straight games at .487 clip (19-for-39), raising season figure from .254 to season-high .286. 2008 Missed most of season with broken foot, but was not placed on disabled list...Began campaign in San Francisco's extended spring training, however also saw playing time at 3 different levels within Giants organization, combining to hit .288 (19-for-66) with 5 2Bs, HR and 6 RBI in just 18 games with ARL -Giants, short-season Salem-Keizer and triple-A Fresno. 2007 Batted .241 (60-for-249) with 17 2Bs, 2 3Bs and 30 RBI in 66 games with DSL-Giants. 2006 Batted .156 (19-for-122) in 44 games in 1st professional season with DSL-Giants.
