Spent a majority of the season with Class AA Reading and Class AAA Lehigh Valley but also appeared in three games with Philadelphia … combined to go 5-3 with a 1.97 ERA (14 ER/64.0 IP), 63 strikeouts and nine saves over 51 appearances between Reading and Lehigh Valley … held right-handers to a .149 average (22-148) and lefties to a .210 mark (13-62) in the minors … began the season with Reading, where 11 of his 17 appearances were scoreless … recorded five strikeouts over 2.0 IP on 4/20 at Richmond … was promoted to Lehigh Valley on 5/31 … went 6-6 in save opportunities from 6/28-8/27 … made 17 scoreless appearances (19.0 IP) from 7/18-8/30 … was promoted to the Phillies on 9/3 … his major-league debut that day vs. Washington, throwing 1.0 scoreless IP … recorded career highs in IP (3.0) and strikeouts (four) on 9/26 at Atlanta.
