Signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on 6/7/05. 2009 Spent the season with Double-A Trenton, going 5-4 with a 3.65 ERA in 48 appearances (two starts)... held left-handed batters to a .183 (20-for-109) batting average with 1HR... following the season, pitched for the Aguilas Cibaenas of the Dominican Winter League, going 2-1 with one save and a 4.76 ERA in 26 relief outings. 2008 Appeared in 40 combined games with Single-A Tampa and Trenton, going 4-0 with a 3.34 ERA... surrendered just 2HR in 62.0IP... threw more than 1.0 inning in 23 of his 40 outings... limited lefthanders to a .141 average (9-for-64, 0HR)... collected his first save since 2006 on 5/13 vs. Lakeland (1.0IP, 2H)... allowed just 3ER over his final 14 appearances (22.1IP, 1.21 ERA) with Tampa before being promoted on 7/27 for his first Double-A action... did not allow a run in the month of June (8G, 13.0IP). 2007 Was 6-3 with a 4.59 ERA in 41 relief appearances with Single-A Tampa. 2006 Went 9-6 with a 3.01 ERA in 31 games (22 starts) with Single-A Charleston, leading the staff in wins... finished the season tied for sixth among all South Atlantic League pitchers in ERA... was named SAL "Pitcher of the Week" on 8/21... finished the season with a 28.0-consecutive-inning scoreless streak... his 3.01 ERA also ranked eighth among all Yankees minor leaguers. 2005 In his first professional season, posted a 3-3 record with a 1.40 ERA in 11 games (seven starts) with the Yankees' Dominican Summer League 1 squad.
