Corey Madden....attended East Anchorage High School (AK) and was named the Gatorade High School Player of the Year following his junior season in 2001...from high school, spent two seasons at Feather River College in Quincy, CA, before transferring to St. Mary's to finish his college career...is one of just four current players in Major/Minor League Baseball from Alaska...Daniel Schlereth (Detroit), Aaron Cunningham (Cleveland) and Matthew Way (Clearwater) are the others. 2011 Combined to go 3-3 with one save and a 3.17 ERA (65.1 IP/23 ER) in 42 games between double-A Jacksonville and triple-A New Orleans...Appeared in 25 games for Suns, going 2-1 with a 2.72 ERA (43.0/13). Ranked second on staff in ERA behind Chris Hatcher (1.90)...Held Southern League opponents to a .212 average, second-lowest on team behind Hatcher (.192). Held lefties to a .222 mark (16x72), while right-handed hitters batted .203 (16x79)...Over first 16 appearances, was 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA (29.1/5). Over final nine games, allowed eight earned runs and owned a 5.67 ERA (13.2/8).
