Cory Riordan. 2010 Spent his entire fourth season of professional baseball with Double-A Tulsa where he led the Drillers with 161.2 innings pitched and 135 strikeouts...also was second among Drillers' starters with a 4.01 ERA....this season marked the third season in a row he has led his club in innings pitched...Went 8-4, 3.65 (150.1 ip, 61 er) in 24 starts, holding hitters to a .263 average, for the Drillers...in three relief appearances went 0-1, 8.74 (11.1 ip, 11 er)...his three relief appearances tied a career-high...17 of his 24 starts were quality starts and he allowed one run or less in 8 of his starts on the season...Went 6-1 over his final 17 starts...pitched at least 6.0 innings in 14 of those 17 starts. 2009 Pitched the entire season as a member of the High-A Modesto Nuts starting rotation...led the Nuts with 169.2 innings pitched and 134 strikeouts...his 169.2 innings also led the California League, while his 134 strikeouts were the sixth-most in the league...was named the CAL Pitcher of the Week, 6/22...went 8-2, 3.71 (89.2 ip, 37 er) in 14 starts following the All-Star break, after going 4-5 with a 4.16 ERA (80.0 ip, 37 er) in 14 games/13 starts prior to the break. 2008 Spent the entire season with Low-A Asheville and led the club with 167.2 innings pitched and 160 strikeouts...his 160 strikeouts were tied for the sixth-most in Minor League baseball, were the secondmost in the South Atlantic League and tied for the most in the Rockies organization with Jhoulys Chacin, who was named Minor League Starting Pitcher of the Year by MiLB.com...issued just 29 walks in his 167.2 innings pitched, an average of 1.6 walks per 9.0 innings...tossed 7.0 innings or more in 13 of his 25 starts, with 14 of his 25 starts being quality outings...opponents hit .274 (185-for-674) with lefties at .315 (85-for- 270) and righties at .248 (100-for-404). 2007 Spent first pro season with Short Season Tri-City...recorded 65 strikeouts against just 17 walks and ranked second in the Northwest League in the fewest walks per 9.0 innings (1.89).
