In 2002 graduated from Stolbers High School in Eindhoven, Netherlands...was a member of the 2000 Dutch 15-and-under team that won the European Cadet Championship...was member of the Dutch National Junior Team in 2001 and 2002...was selected to play on the Dutch squad at the 2002 International Cup in Cuba. 2009 At Class AA Carolina and both Sarasota clubs combined to finish 4-3, 3.08 in 14 starts and 12 relief June and July was on Carolina's disabled list with a low back strain...following the season became a minor league free agent but on 12/4 was re-signed by the Reds...pitched for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic and helped beat favored Dominican Republic twice in the first round...pitched in 4 of the Netherlands' 6 tournament games, didn't allow a run and helped the Dutch staff post a 3.46 team ERA, fifth-best among all WBC teams. 2008 A Class A Sarasota, Florida State League opponents hit just 12 starts from May through June went 4-3, 3.00 with 8 quality starts...10 times pitched at least 6.0 innings in a game. 2007 Combined to finish 3-8-1, 4.28 in 16 starts and 11 relief apps at Class A Ft. Myers, Dayton and Sarasota...began the season with the Twins' Gulf Coast League affiliate at Ft.
