Luceti Zardi High School. 2006 Began the season with Beloit of the Midwest League...allowed just one home run in 20 starts...his first win came April 21 at Lansing when he tossed 5.2 scoreless innings...tossed a complete game (8.0 innings) May 20 at Peoria but suffered the loss...won back-to-back games June 6 and June 11, did not allow a run in 13.0 innnings and struck out 12...named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week, June 5-11...named to Midwest League All-Star team...promoted to Ft. Myers August 4 and earned the win that night after tossing 7.0 innings allowing just one run... his second win came August 15 at Jupiter when he tossed 6.0 shut out innings...was 3-0 with a 0.50 ERA (18.0 ip, 1 er) in three road contests... pitched for Tigres de Aragua of the Venezuelan Winter League...in his first 21 games (four starts) posted a 2.30 ERA with a 5-0 record...ranked 14th Best Prospect in Midwest League by Baseball America. 2005 Spent the year in the Appalachian League...made 12 appearances (11 starts)...won four consecutive decisions June 27-July 14 and posted a 2.53 ERA (21.1 ip, 6 er)...struck out five three times, including his only relief appearance when he retired all nine batters he faced August 29. 2004 Made eight appearances (five starts) for the Gulf Coast League Twins...did not allow an earned run (16.2 innings) in his first five appearances... struck out a season-high six, in 6.0 scoreless innings August 19...did not allow a run in his three relief outings.
