Attended Liceo Jose Debeau school in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic...full name is Victor (Marte) Manuel Rodriguez...pitched for Magallanes in Venezuela winter league and qualified for 2013 Carribean World Series...resides in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. 2012 Made the club as a non-roster invitee out of Spring Training with his last MLB appearance coming in 2010 with Kansas City. Appeared in a career-high 48 MLB games, and 60 overall including 12 during a stint in Triple-A Memphis (7/28-9/1). Earned first win since 7/7/10 on 6/24 at KC and then picked up win the very next day at MIA(6/25). Final win of the season came on last game of the season vs. CIN (10/3). Struck out 40 batters over 36.1 innings for a 9.91 strikeouts/9 IP average. Ranked 27th in the National League with a 27.5 Inherited Runners Scored percentage.
