Kasey Garret Olenberger...attended Piner High School in Santa Rosa, CA, before going on to Long Beach State...played for the Solano Steelheads in the independent Western League in 2000 and 2002. 2009 Primarily used out of the bullpen for the first time in his five year professional career, posted a 7- 1 record and 1.10 ERA in 52 games (one start) four double-A Jacksonville. Led Suns in ERA and ranked second among all Marlins minor leaguers in appearances...Through his first seven games of the season, went 0-1 with one save and a 4.50 ERA (12.0 IP/6 ER)...His only loss of the season came on May 11 vs. Mississippi. Allowed two runs on two hits over 2.0 innings in a blown save opportunity...Held opponents scoreless over his next 33.2 innings, a span of 24 games, from May 13 to July 11. Surrendered only three runs (two earned) from May 13 through the remainder of the season (0.33 ERA)...Earned his first win of the season on May 18 at Carolina, allowing only one hit over 3.0 innings.
