and August allowing just a .143 and .189 batting average against
him respecitvely...in 12 games in August was 2-0 with five saves
and a 1.25 ERA.2003At Mesa (R) his 18 games pitched ranked fifth in the
league...all 18 games were in relief...had a 2.5 strikeout-to-walk
ratio (35 K/ 14 bb)...in his last eight games pitched in August, went
2-0 with a 1.93 ERA.2002Played for the Cubs Dominican team in his first year in pro
ball...made four starts and had a 3-0 record, with three saves.
