Robert Andrew Ray... attended Texas A&M... in three seasons with the Aggies from 2003-2005, posted a record of 8-6 with a 3.85 ERA over 45 appearances (18 starts). 2011 Split season between double-A New Hampshire and triple-A Las Vegas, making six starts for each squad...Made season debut for New Hampshire on June 12, allowing six runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in a 9-3 loss to Richmond...Was promoted to Las Vegas and made first start for 51's on July 16, allowing one run over 7.0 innings on five hits with four strikeouts in a 4-1 win at Tucson; did not factor in decision. 2010 Appeared in three games at the Major League level with the Blue Jays after being a September call-up... FIRST TIME IN RELIEF: Made his first career relief appearance Sept. 9 vs. TEX pitching 2.2 scoreless innings allowing only one hit, walked one and struck out one... Allowed only two hits in his 3.2 innings... IN THE MINORS: Spent the season with Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League going 6-6 with a 5.51 ERA in 18 starts...
