Jonathan Michael Meloan...attended Taylor High School in Houston, Texas where he was an All-State pitcher, leading the Greater Houston area in strikeouts in 2002...tossed a school-record three no-hitters during his career, including a 20-strikeout no-no against Mayde Creek High School his senior year... earned a pair of varsity letters in football and was named to the all-district football team after leading Taylor in receptions and touchdowns catches...was an academic all-district honoree and a member of the National Honor Society...was nominated for acceptance into the US Air Force Academy...attended the University of Arizona from 2003-2005...went 4-1 with two saves in 20 appearances, two starts, in 2003...pitched in the Cape Cod League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the summer of 2003...led the Wildcats to their first College World Series in 18 years by going 10-0 in 2004...went 10-3 in 2005 for the Wildcats. 2009 Pitched for four different organizations in 2009 but his only Major League action came with Oakland in September...did not allow an earned run in six games and 8.1 innings with the A's...struck out 11 of the 29 batters he faced for an average of 11.88
