Jeffrey Ryan Howell...earned a business marketing degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland...posted 5 hits in the Division II championship game to help Florida Southern top North Florida, 12-9...also studied at Indian River (FL) Community College...was originally drafted by the Braves in the 32nd round of the 2001 Draft, but did not sign....is a 2001 graduate of Merritt Island (FL) High.

Playing for Syracuse (Triple-A International League) and Harrisburg (Double-A Eastern League), combined to hit .258 and match career-high with 6 home runs in just 43 games...caught Aaron Barrett, Erik Davis, Nathan Karns, Ryan Mattheus, Tanner Roark, Danny Rosenbaum, Blake Treinen, among others, in '13.

2012

Signed with the Nationals organization on March 2 and enjoyed stints and combined to bat .227 with the Nationals' top 3 affiliates, Syracuse, Harrisburg and Potomac.
