Attended University of Louisville…was named 2009 Sporting News Preseason National Player of Year as well as 2009 Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American...Hit .345 with 12 2Bs, two 3Bs, 25 HRs, 82 RBI and .443 OBP in 64 games during his junior season...Led Cape Cod league with 10 HRs in 2008...Was originally drafted by Colorado in the fifth round of the 2008 draft, but did not sign.

6-foot-4, 233-pound third baseman spent his fifth professional season with triple-A Fresno and hit .294 (137-for-466) with 15 home runs and 65 RBI in 132 games...His 65 RBI were the second-most on the team behind Brett Pill (79).
