Adalberto Mendez. 2010 In his eighth professional season, spent time with three teams, beginning with double-A Jacksonville, where he went 0-1 with a 3.14 ERA in 12 games ... Pitched exclusively out of the bullpen for the Suns in two seperate stints with the Club and allowed no earned runs in his last five appearances for Jacksonville ... Promoted to triple-A New Orleans on April 20, where he pitched in two games, throwing a combined 3.2 innings, and allowing two hits and no runs to go along with five strikeouts ... Transferred back to Jacksonville on April 25 before being promoted for good on May 22 ... In his second stint with New Orleans, pitched in 26 games, including nine starts. Made his first start of the season on June 7 at the Iowa Cubs, a game in which he allowed no runs and only one hit over four innings of work ... Made starts in six of his last nine appearances for New Orleans. As a starter, went 2-2 with a 4.46 ERA in nine games, and compiled a 3-2 record with one save and a 3.73 ERA in nineteen games as a reliever ... Struck out a season high eight batters on August 1 against Albuquerque ... Selected to the Major League roster on September 4th, and made first start of his career in game one of a doubleheader at Philadelphia on September 6th. Tossed 6.0 innings of scoreless, onehit ball with six strikeouts while garnering his first win. Collected his first Big League hit in the same game ...
