High School…lettered in baseball and football...Drafted by the Rays in the 23rd round of the 2004 First-Year Player Draft but did not sign.

Spent his second straight full season at Triple-A Toledo, batting .258 (128-for-496) with 21 doubles, 25 home runs and 82 RBI...Named to International League midseason All-Star Team...Earned IL Player of the Week honors for Aug. 8-14.
