Timothy Lorenzo Torres...attended Oral Roberts University, where he posted a career average of .312 (127x407) with 23 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs and 69 RBI in his two seasons...earned Mid-Continent Conference All-Star honors in 2006. 2010 Split the season between double-A Jacksonville and triple-A New Orleans, posting a combined average of .274 (101x369) with 18 doubles, five triples, 14 home runs and 49 RBI in 123 games ... Led Jacksonville in walks (57) and was tied for second in home runs ... Began with Jacksonviille and posted a .266 average (55x207) with eight doubles, five triples, 10 home runs and 32 RBI in 71 games prior to being transferred to New Orleans ... Promoted to the Zephyrs on July 3 and hit 265 with two doubles and three RBI over 14 games in his first career trip to the triple-A level ...
