Davis Javier Romero...Single... Was born in Aquadulce, Cocle, Panama... Played for the Panama team in last season's World Baseball Classic... Appeared in one game tossing 0.1 IP, scattered two hits & struck out a batter. 2008 Returned from Labrum surgery to pitch in 25 games (23 starts) for Syracuse (AAA) of the International League...Held opponents to a .263 average while allowing only 2.45 walks per nine innings...Was used primarily a starter making 22 consecutive starts through July...Had his season end prematurely being placed on the DL in August (left shoulder numbness) 2007 Did not play...Had surgery in the spring to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. 2006 Made seven relief appearances for the Blue Jays... On Aug. 17 had his contract purchased by Toronto from Syracuse (AAA)... Made his Major League debut on Aug. 18 at BAL (2.2IP, H, 2K)...
