Was originally signed by the San Diego Padres by current Astros Director of Latin American Scouting Felix Francisco... Rated by Baseball America as having the Best Outfield Arm among Astros prospects prior to both the 2010 and 2009 seasons...also received the distinction while with San Diego from 2006-07...
