Originally signed by Chicago as a non-drafted free agent in March of 2005, Marco enters his eighth full season in the organization...is a non-roster invitee to big league camp for the first time in his career...Is 40-26 with a 3.52 ERA (242 ER/618.1 IP) in 202 minor league games (65 starts)...Has struck out 480 batters compared to 216 walks in 618.1 career minor league innings...Has surrendered 52 home runs in 618.1 innings of work...Named a Southern League mid-season All Star in 2011...Posted four seven-win campaigns in his first seven pro seasons...produced an ERA of 3.60 or less in five of his seven seasons, including a career-low 2.81 ERA in 2005...His 2.88 ERA ranked second in the Florida State League in 2008...Opponents own a .237 batting average against the right-handed pitcher in seven minor league seasons. 2011 Marco went 7-5 with a 3.44 ERA (41 ER/107.1 IP) in 40 games (nine starts) between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa...it marked his second-straight season seeing
