Selected by Colorado in the 13th round of the 2005 June draft. 2009 Spent the entire season with Tulsa as one of the club's regulars...split time between first base, left field and designated hitter...hit .288 (119-for-413) with 29 extra base hits in 124 games...his .288 battting average was the highest on the club...walked nearly as many times as he struck out (63 bb, 69 so) and also led the Drillers with his .380 on-base percentage...hit .319 (37-for-116) with 50 RBI with runners in scoring position. 2008 Spent the entire season with Modesto as the club's everyday first baseman...his .310 (158-for- 510) average was the highest for any Nuts player with at least 200 at bats...his .384 on-base percentage was also the best mark on the club...was one of 4 Nuts players with 28 doubles or more...hit .377 (43-for- 114) with 4 home runs and 15 RBI in the month of August to earn Rockies Organizational Player-of-the- Month honors...posted a multi-hit game in 17 of his 29 games played in during the month of August...hit .285 (78-for-274) prior to the All-Star break and .339 (80-for-236) after the break...saw time in left and right field in the season's final month. 2007 Played the majority of the season with the Asheville Tourists, but also made his Triple-A debut for Colorado Springs, appearing in just 3 games...while with the Tourists, batted .303 (149-for-491) with 11 homers and 93 RBI in 130 games...batted .424 (36-for-85) in April and combined to hit .299 (61-for-204) in May and June...struggled over the season's final 2 months as he hit just .257 over that span to drop season clip 33 points...was named the player of the week for April 23-29...went 13-for-24 (.542) during that stretch with one home run and 6 RBI...was named to the SAL Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star team. 2006 Spent his second professional season with Class A Asheville...recorded season-high 10-game hitting streak from July 31-August 12, during which he hit .417 (15-for-36). 2005 Hit .312 with 17 doubles, 4 home runs and 45 RBI in 68 games in his first pro season at Tri- City...ranked among Northwest League leaders in RBI (T4th), on-base percentage (.401, 5th) and batting average (7th)...ranked eighth among the Rockies organizational leaders in average...placed among team leaders in RBI (1st), walks (37, T1st), average (2nd), hits (2nd), slugging (.443, 2nd), on-base percentage (2nd), games (T2nd), doubles (T2nd) and home runs (T4th)...named organizational Player of the Month for August after batting .345 with 7 doubles, 2 home runs and 22 RBI in 29 contests...registered secondlongest on-base streak in NWL, reaching base safely in 29 straight games from July 10-August 11...hit safely in 30 of 35 games from July 21-August 26 at a .348 clip to raise average from .237 to .310.
