Attended Le Moyne College and was the Metro Atlantic Pitcher of the Year in 2004 and also All-Conference that year...played in two NCAA regionals in college...is single and resides in Wappinger Falls, NY, where he graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School. 2008 Reliever got his first taste of Triple-A and spent most of his season at Memphis (AAA)...Opened the season at Double-A Springfield, but after just four games had allowed just one solo home run, while fanning five and walking none and was promoted to Triple-A...Did spend a brief stint on the DL in April while with Springfield with a strained right forearm and returned to the DL briefly in May with the same injury...Went 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 10 June games at Memphis...Batters from the left side hit .244 (22-90) against Scherer while righties hit .261 (30-115)...Held the opposition to a .234 average (22-94) with runners on; .195 (8-41) with runners on and two outs...With runners on in scoring position opponents hit .158 (9-57) and with RISP with 2 outs the average dropped to .138 (4-29).
