Named the 1999 Most Valuable Player of the Archdiocesan of New York while at Iona Prep (NY)...Was the Westchester County Player of the Year as a senior...Earned All-League, All-District, All-City, All-County and All-American honors in 1999 and was named as one of the top 12 high school pitchers in the nation...Recorded an 11-1 record and a 0.87 ERA as a senior in high school...Drafted in the 14th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft by the Minnesota Twins...Played three years of baseball at Villanova and went 10-7 w/a 3.28 ERA in 27 outings/22GS (156.1IP, 135H, 57ER, 128K)... In 2000 as a freshman earned third team Freshmen All-America honors by Baseball America... Received Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America honorable mention...
