Justin Ryan Sellers...has a daughter, Summer Lynn...attended Marina High School in Huntington Beach, CA... his father, Jeff, pitched four seasons in the Majors for Boston from 1985-88...committed to Cal State Fullerton before signing with Oakland...ranked #98 in Baseball America's Top 100 High School List after his senior season... originally selected by Oakland in the sixth round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft.

2014

Began spring training with Los Angeles (NL) before being acquired by Cleveland on 3/2...Spent majority of season with Triple-A Columbus, but also had three separate stints with the Indians...Was recalled a first time on 4/10, but did not appear in a big league game before returning to Columbus on 4/12...Was recalled by Cleveland on 5/20 and went 3-for- 16 in seven games with the Indians thru 5/27...Batted .304 (24-for-79) with Columbus during the month of June...Hit all three of his home runs during the month of July...Made 67 appearances at shortstop, 18 at second base, 17 in left field and two at third base while playing with Columbus...Hit .292 (19- for-65) with 11 RBI over his final 18 Triple-A games and went 3-for-8 in two postseason games with the Clippers...Was recalled a final time on 9/5; did not record an at bat while appearing in nine games as a defensive replacement during the month of September...Made seven appearances (one start) at second base, six appearances (four starts) at shortstop and four appearances at third base while playing with Cleveland.
