Jared Paul Goedert... @jedgeds ... Married... Resides in Manhattan, KS… Selected by the Cleveland Indians in the ninth round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of Kansas State University… Majored in finance… Had previously been selected by the Indians in the 36th round of the 2003 Draft out of Concordia (Kan.) High School… Played quarterback at Concordia, where he led the state of Kansas in passing yardage as a junior… All-state in basketball in addition to being a two-time all-state selection in baseball... Played two seasons at Kansas State in 2005-06... Drafted as a second baseman, hit .337 as a junior with 12 homers, 12 doubles and 46 RBI in 53 games played.

Spent his 8th professional season with Indianapolis Indians of the International League (AAA) appearing in a career-high 130 games...Had an 11-game hit streak from August 16-August 27… Over that span hit .436 (17 for 39)...Ranked 2nd on the Indians with 45 extra base hits… Finished T-3rd with 32 doubles in the International League.
