Ross Emery Detwiler...pitched for MLB during Tour of Taiwan in November of '11...represented the Nationals during an 8-day USO Tour in December ' a Missouri State 3 seasons with the Bears, went 11-11 with a 3.13 ERA in 216.0 innings spanning 39 career games...fanned 10.2 batters per 9.0 innings during his career with the Bears...entered the '07 season as a Baseball America Pre-Season All-American...went 4-5 with a 2.22 ERA in 14 games in 3rd and final season at MSU to garner 2nd-team MVC a sophomore, finished 7-4 with a 2.81 ERA, and tossed a complete game one-hitter to beat MVC-power Creighton on May 25 to garner Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week citation... was the 2nd Missouri State Bear drafted in the first-round in as many seasons (RHP Brett Sinkbeil was FLA's top pick in 2006)...was a hospitality/ restaurant administration major...played for Team USA in summer of '06 (2-0, 0.95 ERA)...upon completion of Team USA schedule, pitched in 2 games for Falmouth of the Cape Cod League...earned '04 Gateway Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors as senior at Wentzville (MO) High.
