Melky spent a majority of the season at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AAA), but had an eight-day stint in the Major Leagues where he appeared in five games for the New York Yankees..Went 5-for-13 (.385) in the Major Leagues, which included a two-hit effort vs. Tampa Bay on July 26..Named International League Player of the Week, August 12, batting .393 (11-for-28) with two homers and nine RBI from August 6-11...batted .312 (24-for-77) with a .532 slugging percentage after the All-Star break.
