Made debut with Angels on September 16 at Baltimore, entering as defensive replacement and fouled out in only at-bat. In only start of season (September 28 vs. Texas), went 1x2 and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly...Spent majority of year with triple-A Salt Lake; led Bees in batting average, on-base percentage, and walks, while average ranked seventh in Pacific Coast League. 2009 Played 6 games over 2 stints for the Red Sox but spent most of the season with Triple-A Pawtucket...Joined the Red Sox on 4/13
