Full name Javier Herrera...Single...Resides in Miami, FL...Played baseball for three seasons at the University of Tennessee and was the second college catcher taken and the fifth overall in the 2003 draft...Was previously drafted out of high school by the Boston Red Sox in the 42nd round in 2000 out of Gulliver Prep in Miami, but did not sign...Was the first Vol to be taken by Cleveland since Greg McMichael (7th round) in 1988...Was a 2001 Freshman All-America and Team USA National Team member...Hit .296 (59-199) with a team-leading 9HR & 32RBI in 2003 for Tennessee...
