His father-in-law is former Major League player Darnell Coles, who is currently Hitting Coordinator with the Brewers ... Made his only career Opening Day roster in 2007 with Philadelphia ... Pitched for Team USA in 2006 in the qualifying tournament for the 2008 Olympics and earned a pair of wins ... Played in the Arizona Fall League following the 2006 season and in the Dominican Winter League following the 2009 and 2010 seasons ...
