Adam L. Peterson...he and his wife, Tiffany, make their home in Wichita, KS...Adam graduated from Oconto Falls (WI) High School in 1998...prior to finishing up his prep days at Oconto Falls, Adam played ball in both Panama and Colorado Springs while his father was in the Army...Adam then attended Wichita State University...he is the first Shocker to reach the majors since Koyie Hill broke in with the Dodgers on September 5, 2003. 2005 Acquired off waivers from Arizona on April 18, Peterson posted a 4-3 record and 6.58 ERA in 47 appearances for Double-A Erie. 2004 Adam got a brief taste of the majors with the Blue Jays while spending a majority of his campaign in the minors...he opened the year with New Hampshire (AA) where he notched 15 saves, a 2-2 record and 2.54 ERA in 27 appearances while opponents hit just .198...of his 15 saves, 14 were 1.0-inning stints...he went 1-1 with 6 saves and a 1.76 ERA in 14 home outings...he nailed down 9 saves in 13 road affairs while going 1-1 with a 3.46 ERA...Peterson posted a save in each of his first 4 outings...he did not allow a run over 7.1 innings pitched in 7 straight outings from April 26-May 12...Peterson had 7 saves in his last 10 games which included 7 outings without yielding a hit...he tossed 8.2 shutout frames over his final 9 outings for the Fisher Cats...his contract was purchased by Toronto on June 22 and he made his Major League debut on June 24 against Tampa Bay, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in 0.2 of an inning...he tossed a scoreless inning on June 27 vs. Montreal...his final appearance with Toronto was on June 28 at Tampa Bay as he was touched for 2 runs on 3 hits in an inning of work...Adam was optioned to Syracuse (AAA) on July 6 and finished the season there...his first two games with the SkyChiefs resulted in a pair of wins on July 9 and 11 against Toledo...he was scored upon in 12 of his 19 outings.
