Matthew David Peterson...graduated from Rapides High School (LA)...went 11-1 with a 0.63 ERA as a senior, striking out 149 and walking 31 in 78 innings...was a second-team high school All-America selection. 2009 Spent his ninth professional season, and first with the Marlins, at double-A Jacksonville. Went 4-4 with a 3.86 ERA and a career-high 37 saves in 56 relief appearances for the Suns...Led all of MiLB in saves, while his appearance total led the club...Earned first save in his first appearance on April 9 vs. Tennessee, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning.
