25-year-old backstop comes to 3rd big league camp (2004, '06-07)...was originally chosen by SF as backstop in 2nd round (55th player selected overall) of 2003 First-Year Player Draft...owns .274 avg.in 362 minor league games over 1st 4 professional seasons...has spent majority of career as catcher (163 games), but has also seen action at 2B (44) and 3B (80).
