24-year-old infielder embarks on 1st year in Giants organization as non-roster invitee to Spring Training...has spent 1st 6 seasons of professional career in Cleveland's minor league system, compiling career .248 batting avg. and 154 stolen bases in 608 games...has accrued trio of 20-steal years, highlighted by 47-theft campaign in 2002...single. 2006 Spent majority of year with double-A Akron, before making triple-A debut with 16-game stint at Buffalo...combined to hit .246 (92-for-374)with HR, 30 RBI and 24 stolen bases (in 28 attempts) over 120 contests...was .251 hitter in Eastern League, before going 8-for-39 (.205) with Buffalo. 2005 Batted .265 in 126 games for Akron, while setting career highs with 112 hits, 13 2Bs and 6 3Bs. 2004 Logged 2nd full season at single-A Kinston, but was limited to just 66 games due to left shoulder surgery...was still tabbed by Baseball America as Best Defensive Shortstop in Carolina League. 2003 During 82-game stint with Kinston, batted .253 with 28 stolen bases. 2002 Set career high with 47 steals, while only being caught 10 times...batted .217 in 125 games at single-A Columbus. 2001 Spent 1st season on United States soil, playing in 51 games for Burlington in rookie-level Appalachian League. 2000 Opened professional career at age of 18 with Indians' San Felipe club in Venezuelan Summer League.
