The Giants declined to exercise the $6.25 million option on Noah Lowry's 2010 contract, making the left-hander a free agent.
This was a predictable move, given Lowry's two-year inactivity due to injury. Lowry should be able to find a job easily. He's only 29. He displays great confidence when he strides to the mound as if it were his personal throne and stubbornly challenges hitters with his changeup. Lowry and right-handers Justin Miller and Kelvin Pichardo were activated from the 60-day disabled list and outrighted to Triple-A Fresno.
