The Diamondbacks have declined to exercise the 2010 club option on infielder Chad Tracy.
It was a tough season for Tracy, who was sidelined for a month with a strained oblique and had to fight for playing time at the corner spots. Altogether, he batted just .237 with eight homers and 39 RBIs over 98 games. It's hard to imagine that Tracy's days of being a productive player are finished at 29, but he may have a hard time earning a starting opportunity following three straight injury-shortened seasons.
