Missed 2 months on the DL from 5/13-7/13 with a hamstring injury. Hit .311 before the DL stint but just .218 after his return. 2000 Spent most of the season with Rookie-level Burlington. Scored 4 runs vs. Danville on 8/27 and the next day was promoted to Short-A Mahoning Valley, where he hit .316 (6-for-19) in 5 games. 1999 Played for the Indians Dominican Summer League team, where he batted .256 (60-for-234) in 61 games.
