Pitched the majority of the season at Triple-A Durham where he started all but one game (27 starts).
Was purchased from Durham on 4/20 and made his lone Major League start that night vs. TEX and allowed eight runs in 4.0
innings for the loss. Was sent back to Durham the following day.
Upon his return to Triple-A pitched the final 2.0 innings of relief on 4/24 and allowed no runs. Started the year allowing no runs
in his first three appearances,11.0 IP.
Pitched a complete game victory in his final game on 9/5, throwing 9.0 innings allowing four runs (three earned) with five
strikeouts. Struck out a season high nine batters on 6/27 at Buffalo (7.0 IP).

2004Webb was claimed off waivers from the Cubs in Spring Training and spent the early part of the year recovering from a broken leg suffered during the winter. He pitched for Double-A Montgomery and Triple-A Durham. In four relief appearances with the Rays, he allowed 12 hits and seven walks in nine innings.2002John rebounded strongly from his 2001 right elbow surgery ... after returning to the active list in May, he combined to make 21 starts for Daytona (A) and West Tenn (AA) -- going 9-8 with a 4.00 ERA.
